    There are good reasons to get this lens. The main one being the 17-55 is a constant F/2.8 aperture which lets you do SO many things including low light photography, better video, good "bokeh" (blurred backgrounds) and more. Good lens for upgrading from the 18-55 "kit" lens.

    Like my facebook page for regular updates - on.fb.me I went to my villages firework display last night, and this is the footage that I managed to record as a test. I didn't know what to expect when the fireworks started, however when I noticed the out of focus effect (also known as Bokeh) that I could produce, I couldn't stop using that effect. I also filmed some fireworks so that they where in focus. I used the Canon 600D / T3i DSLR to film, and with the 18-135mm zoom lens. I also used a cheap tripod and just set the equipment up behind the crowds so that I could get clear shots without anyone disturbing what I was filming. Camera settings where as followed - 1080p HD, ISO 6400, Fstop 3.5, Cinestyle picture style The background music was from youtuber 'Rickvanman's' FREE 'royalty free' soundtrack library - music4yourvids.co.uk
