The slim and compact EX-H30 can take up to 1000 photos without needing to be recharged, making it ideal for travel and holidays. In addition to the Single Frame SR zoom, the camera also features an 18.8x zoom and offers optimum image quality-even for high-resolution shots-with 16.1 megapixels. Thanks to its 24-mm wide-angle lens with mechanical image stabiliser, the camera successfully captures sweeping landscapes, group photos from short distances and details in close-up shots. On top of this wide range of features, this compact travel camera also benefits from the Slide Panorama mode for panorama images, HD video recording including optical zoom during filming and the Silent Mode for environments in which a flash or shutter noise could create a disturbance.

The Single Frame SR Zoom increases the maximum focal range of the optical zoom by 150%, transforming a 12.5x optical zoom into a powerful 18.8x zoom.

EXILIM Engine 5.0
The digital brain of the EXILIM camera is the EXILIM Engine 5.0. This innovative image processor functions according to a completely new concept to achieve particularly bright colour reproduction, high image quality and quick response times: The processor offers even better performance and is even faster, ensuring effective moiré and noise suppression without losing details. The EXILIM Engine 5.0 masters all challenges such as backlighting, portrait, landscape and night shots or poor lighting conditions. In addition, the image processor provides clever functions such as Intelligent Colour Technology, the new Dynamic Photo function, improved Make-up mode or the new Premium Auto mode, which independently analyses the exposure conditions and then automatically configures the optimal settings.
New: enhanced Premium Auto mode
Whether it is a portrait, landscape or night shot that you want to take, or if the lighting conditions and backlighting are challenging, the EXILIM EX-H30 allows you to focus your full attention on your subject. And it is the Premium Auto mode that makes this possible. In this mode, the camera automatically recognises typical subject situations and adjusts the settings accordingly. Depending on the exposure conditions, BEST SHOT modes such as Auto BEST SHOT, Night shot without tripod, Make-up mode, Landscape mode or Intelligent AF are activated. This ensures that movements, shaking and even people's faces are detected automatically, and then perfectly focused and exposed. The camera can also automatically correct the brightness in underexposed areas of the image - ideal for subjects featuring extreme contrasts or backlighting. You don't need to worry which BEST SHOT mode is best for the situation; you can just focus your full attention on your subject and take some impressive photos. The EXILIM Zoom EX-H30 is equipped with a separate Premium Auto mode button for quick activation and deactivation of the function.
HD video recording
The HD video recording feature on the EXILIM EX-H30 allows you to shoot high-resolution and detailed videos with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels - simply press the Movie button and start recording. What's more, the 16:9 wide-screen format gives your video clips an expressive, professionally filmed character.
Bright and high-contrast 7.6 cm (3.0 inch) TFT colour display (Super Clear LCD)
The EX-H30 is equipped with a large, bright 7.6 cm (3.0 inch) TFT colour display (Super Clear LCD) with an exceptionally high resolution of 460,800 pixels, which ensures especially brilliant photos. In addition to the large viewing angle, the TFT colour display also has extremely high contrast, which ensures a clear, sharp view of your subjects. The display also offers exceptional brightness, making it easier for you to view your pictures - even in bright sunlight. You can select from 6 presets to match the brightness to the ambient lighting conditions: -1/0/+1/+2/Auto.
Panorama function
Expand your field of vision and discover new perspectives. Whether it's a magnificent panorama of the Alps, a group photo of whatever kind, or an exciting urban scene - the panorama function of the EX-H30 gives you extremely wide panorama images with a huge field of vision of up to 240 degrees. Even when the camera pans, moving objects and faces are recognised and the images adapted such that distortions and blurring are kept to a minimum.

Besides high-performance automatic controls, the EX-H30 also boasts a wide range of manual options for creative shots. Set the aperture and shutter to suit your photographic requirements.
Silent Mode
Whether you are in a church or museum, on safari, or just don't want to disturb the people around you, with the EX-H30 it's easy to take photos and record films without making a sound. The camera is equipped with a Silent Mode, which can be activated at the touch of a button and prevents the camera from flashing and making a sound when the shutter is pressed. Perfect for all environments in which noises could create a disturbance.
