Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ10 / ZS7 Recording Drums Test (AVCHD Lite)
As there were none out there to help with my decision to buy this camera for recording my drums, I've decided to make a few test recordings for any potential buyers of this superb camera. This is the AVCHD Lite (.mts) test recording at 720p SH. The sound is quite a bit better in quality than the sound on the Motion JPEG recording, and on the whole I think reproduces the sound of my drums quite accurately. Not bad at all! My verdict: Definitely use the AVCHD recording option, no question! Better sound quality, longer recording and smaller file sizes. Image quality is more or less the same I think, although haven't I tested it much in that regard. The Motion JPEG recording can be found here: www.youtube.com The Panny TZ10 handles extremely loud volumes at close proximity very well indeed! I am pleasantly surprised! It behaves like a good studio mic, dynamically compressing the sound. Nice! *note that this recording was made at a focal length of about 50mm (35mm equiv)

The Panasonic Lumic DMC-TZ10 is a well-designed, solidly built and extremely versatile camera with a lot of useful features. The 12x zoom, optical image stabilisation, HD video and excellent low light performance are the main benefits, and manual exposure is a nice bonus. www.computerbild.de testet die Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10. Aktiviert man die GPS-Funktion der TZ-10, zeigt die Kompaktkamera auf dem Display Sehenswürdigkeiten in der näheren Umgebung an. Wer also auf Reisen ist, erhält von der Kamera nützliche Hinweise. Der Funktionsumfang dieser 12 Megapixel Kamera ist üppig, die Bedienung aber trotzdem kinderleicht. Wird das Wählrad auf „iA" gestellt, nimmt die Kamera alle Einstellungen automatisch vor. Darüber hinaus bietet die kompakte Digitalkamera aber auch 21 Motivprogramme wie Sport, Porträt usw., die sich auf Wunsch auch mit dem Drehrad aktivieren lassen. Alle Parameter, wie Blende, Belichtungszeit etc. lassen sich auch manuell einstellen. Der 11-fach Zoombereich ist enorm, jedoch verwackeln die Bilder bei maximaler Vergrößerung leicht. Der optische Bildstabilisator wirkt dem aber in den meisten Fällen wirkungsvoll entgegen. Positiv auch Die Kamera nimmt Videos in HDTV-Qualität mit 1280 x 720 Bildpunkten auf.
