• Megadeth - Five Magics (cover)

I've got a few requests for this one, so I learned it in a few days just to record it. But I'd have learned it anyway, since this song might well be one of Megadeth's most solo-dense. Both Mustaine and Friedman has some of their best solos in this song. And it's got some very great riffs too. Since I've recently learned how to avoid my camera issue (for more information, see earlier videos), this is probably my best cover thus far, almost perfect in timing and synchronization. You'll better enjoy it! ;) Recorded the 22nd - 23rd of July 2009 using a Pentax Optio M30 regular digital camera, audio recorded with an iAudio 7. Edited using Magix Music Maker 10 Deluxe and streamed as a 640x480 resolution Windows Media Video with 25 fps. Guitar: Washburn X16 G13 (with EMG 81/85). Amplifier: Peavey 6505+ and an Ashdown Peacemaker 412A cabinet with Celestion G12E-50 speakers. • Megadeth - Tornado of Souls (cover)

I've gotten a LOT of requests for this song, and since I'm on my way to finish Rust In Peace, why not? I have to admit it's not my favourite song, but it's pretty cool, especially the solo. Recorded the 30th of November - 8th of December 2009 using a Pentax Optio M30 regular digital camera, audio recorded with an iAudio 7. Edited using Magix Music Maker 10 Deluxe and streamed as a 640x480 resolution Windows Media Video with 25 fps. Drums recorded using a cheap mixer, JJLabs microphones, and Peace drums with one Zildjian Planet Z-cymbal (right) (I didn't use it because there's no china in this song - it's broken and it kind of represents a china) and one Sabian B8 16" rock crash (left). A built-in crappy EQ in the software was used for the drums. Guitar: Washburn X16 G13 (with EMG 81/85). Amplifier: Peavey 6505+ and an Ashdown Peacemaker 412A cabinet with Celestion G12E-50 speakers. Settings: Lead channel: Pre: 7.5 Low: 3 Mid: 3 High: 9 Post: 1 Resonance: 1.5 Presence: 8.5 Strings: D'Addario Regular Light EXL110 .010-.046 Pick: Dunlop Jazz III If you rate it, please motivate and write a comment too. • Megadeth - My Last Words (cover)

To make a long story short, making this video took about a month because first my mp3-player broke. When I got a new one my computer's power supply fan broke. After many weeks of waiting for the store to repair it, I lost my patience, went there and got it back. I unscrewed the power supply to see what was wrong, and seeing no problem with the fan I put it back together again. Hocus pocus and the fan magically started working again! I suppose the fan's contact with the power supply was loose. Anyway, my new cover is finally here! I actually recorded the solo in the beginning of October and the rhythm section in the middle of the month. Because I've downtuned one step (3/4 step from the "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying"- tuning) for playing Children of Bodom, I had to re-tune my guitar. Since it's a Floyd Rose bridge it's very complicated so I didn't want to bother adjusting the pitch of the bridge (I only re-tuned my guitar for this song anyway). This leads to the guitar getting out of tune very quickly, after playing for about a minute! So I hope you'll excuse the tuning and enjoy the playing instead! Recorded the beginning of October 2009 using a Pentax Optio M30 regular digital camera, audio recorded with an iAudio 7. I'd also like to add that the solo was recorded using only the camera, hence the bad sound quality. This is because my mp3-player was already handed in. Edited using Magix Music Maker 10 Deluxe and streamed as a 640x480 resolution Windows Media Video with ...

  • Megadeth - Poison Was The Cure (cover)

Featuring the hardest riff (at least the fastest) Mustaine has ever created, claiming to be able to play like Megadeth can't be done without learning this song. I practiced for many days and finally got it! Awesome intense riffage and a Friedman solo (which are always great). This is also the first video where I play my Washburn with my new settings and cables. I lowered the resonance and low controls to make the tone less muddy. It sounds awesome on my Jackson, and pretty good on my Washburn in my opinion. Recorded the 29th-30th of October 2009 using a Pentax Optio M30 regular digital camera, audio recorded with an iAudio 7. • Megadeth - Hook In Mouth (cover)

Hook In Mouth is a simple song, yet challenging thanks to Young's shredding. I only did this for the leads, rhythm-wise it's one of Megadeth's easiest songs. I tried to cover this half a year ago but couldn't nail it. Now, finally, I think I have. Recorded March 13th and March 18th 2010 using a Pentax Optio M30 regular digital camera, audio recorded with an iAudio 7. Edited using Magix Music Maker 10 Deluxe and converted as a 640x480 resolution Windows Media Video with 25 fps. Guitar: Jackson Warrior WRMG (with EMG 81/85) Amplifier: Peavey 6505+ and an Ashdown Peacemaker 412A cabinet with Celestion G12E-50 speakers. • Megadeth - The Conjuring (cover)

I don't think I've ever had as fun making a cover! This is a very special one, because I've taken the bass tack and the vocal track, and mixed that with my guitars and drums. Just like if I'd cloned myself three times and joined Megadeth with Dave singing and Ellefson on bass! Guitars were recorded June 24th 2010 using a Pentax Optio M30 regular digital camera, audio recorded with an iAudio 7. Drums were recorded June 23rd using a cheap mixer, JJLabs microphones, and Peace drums with one Zildjian Planet Z-cymbal (right) (it's broken and it kind of represents a china) and one Sabian B8 16" rock crash (left). The hi-hat is a Paiste PST-3. A built-in EQ and reverb in the audio-/video editing software were used. Edited using Magix Music Maker 10 Deluxe and streamed as a 640x480 resolution Windows Media Video with 25 fps. Guitar: Jackson Warrior WRMG (with EMG 81/85) Amplifier: Peavey 6505+ and an Ashdown Peacemaker 412A cabinet with Celestion G12E-50 speakers. • Megadeth - 502 (cover)

This is a song I didn't discover until a couple of years after I bought the album (this year). I love Young's solo here, very epic. If I'd ever break the speed limits, this would be my soundtrack. I used the software's reverb effects to make it sound more like the original. Recorded August 21st 2010 using a Pentax Optio M30 regular digital camera, audio was recorded with an iAudio 7. Edited using Magix Music Maker 10 Deluxe and streamed as a 640x480 resolution Windows Media Video with 25 fps. • Megadeth - Wake Up Dead (cover)

This video opens with a quick introduction containing two clips from my old Wake Up Dead cover, recorded in the late summer of 2007. My worst rated cover, this song deserved another try. I have receive a few requests in comments on that old video, so I've finally done it. This time, with my newest guitar so that I can make the dives properly. I've also included all solos and riffs this time, drums and a Megadeth t-shirt! This song is great and despite it's lack of more than two verses and no choruses, and on the edge of being classified as an instrumental, it's one of their most popular songs, and the ending riff is very original. Mustaine's solos are without doubt some of his best (especially the last one) and Poland's solo adds a bit of versatility. Recorded the 27th - 30th of July 2009 using a Pentax Optio M30 regular digital camera, audio recorded with an iAudio 7. Edited using Magix Music Maker 10 Deluxe and streamed as a 640x480 resolution Windows Media Video with 25 fps. • Megadeth - I Ain't Superstitious (lesson)

My first lesson! This song really needed a lesson because there are no other ones or even tabs. Everything is pretty much 100% EXCEPT for the parts where I say you should shred randomly, simply because I was too lazy to focus on 16th notes. Just stick to the scale and it will sound right. The "keypoints" are just points of interest (I use this term mostly for the last solo), those are all 100% accurate and you want to shred around until you get to one of those. Recorded August 17th - 18th 2010 using a Pentax Optio M30 regular digital camera (both video and audio, hence the poor guitar audio quality), voice recorded with an iAudio 7. • Megadeth - Good Mourning/Black Friday (cover)

I've been looking forward to make a cover of this song for a very long time. It's definitely one of my favourite Megadeth songs and the intro is their best, most beautiful and epic musical section ever. It's a pure thrash song. The intro solo is amazing and it's difficult to mimic the feeling. This may well be the Megadeth song I've put most effort into learning. The main riff is pretty hard, and the intro's clean "riff" is very complex and takes a lot of time to learn. It's probably Megadeth's hardest song before Rust In Peace. Recorded the 28th - 30th of August 2009 using a Pentax Optio M30 regular digital camera, audio recorded with an iAudio 7. • Megadeth - Holy Wars (cover) (old)

NEWER COVER: www.youtube.com Finally I've made my second cover, this time Holy Wars... The Punishment Due. Should've done this way earlier but wanted to wait until I got my new amp first. Most of the information is provided in the video, but just to waste your screen space I'll write them here as well. Recorded the 5th and 7th (using a Pentax Optio M30), edited the 8th-10th and finally streamed and uploaded the 11th using Windows Media (640x480, 25 fps.) Video editing program used was Magix Music Maker 10. Guitar: Washburn X16 G13 (with EMG 81 and 85). Amplifier: Peavey 6505+ and an Ashdown Peacemaker 412A (rare) with Celestion G12E-50 speakers. Settings: Pre: 7,5 Low: 10 Mid: 0 High: 7,5 Post: 0,9 (too high would make it sound horrible with a dig cam) Resonance: 10 Presence: 10 Strings: D'Addario Prosteels .009-.042 Pick: Dunlop Jazz III Effects: Ibanez WD7 Weeping Demon Note: The solos and the rest of the song were recorded separately. • Megadeth - Holy Wars...The Punishment Due (cover)

I wasn't quite happy with my old cover of this song, partly due to my EQ-settings, partly due to my playing. So this time I was stubbornly determined to make it perfect, and to be honest, I had to re-play Friedman's solos LOTS of times, across several days, and that's why it took me five days to upload this cover. I think this should do it, it's not like Friedman himself but I got the notes and almost the expression right. This is arguably Megadeth's best song. This is actually the song that once got me into Megadeth, and the masterminds of Mustaine and Friedman are definitely shining in this one. Recorded from December 30 of 2009 to January 3 of 2010 using a Pentax Optio M30 regular digital camera, audio recorded with an iAudio 7. Edited using Magix Music Maker 10 Deluxe and streamed as a 640x480 resolution Windows Media Video with 25 fps. • Megadeth - Rust In Peace...Polaris (cover)

The last song on Rust In Peace (not really, but Dawn Patrol doesn't feature any guitars), it has some really awesome riffs, especially during the second part. Unusually short solos, but they fit in perfectly, and that's why it didn't take me too long to learn it (two days). December 2009 has also been the month with most frequently uploaded videos, and it's only been five days between this and Tornado of Souls. Recorded the 13th-14th of December 2009 using a Pentax Optio M30 regular digital camera, audio recorded with an iAudio 7. Edited using Magix Music Maker 10 Deluxe and streamed as a 640x480 resolution Windows Media Video with 25 fps. Guitar: Washburn X16 G13 (with EMG 81/85). • Megadeth - Bad Omen (cover)

Finally, after lots of delays, my cover of Bad Omen is up! Cool, underrated song with a cool rhythm. I originally intended to make this one a drum- and guitar-cover with bass and vocal tracks like my The Conjuring-cover but I couldn't do it tight enough and I hate flaws, even if they're aren't that big of a deal. Recorded July 20th and July 23rd-24th 2010 using a Pentax Optio M30 regular digital camera, audio recorded with an iAudio 7. Edited using Magix Music Maker 10 Deluxe and streamed as a 640x480 resolution Windows Media Video with 25 fps.
