(8GB records up to 2 hours of videos) Removable battery - Battery life ~2 hours Quoted from CNET reviews: "Overall, we were pretty impressed with the video quality. To be clear, this is not a true HD video camcorder--you can only expect so much from a low-resolution sensor and a tiny no-zoom lens" "the key is that you can view videos at full screen size on your computer and they remain relatively sharp. Creative seems to bump up the contrast, saturation, and sharpness so the video makes a better first impression" Music: pSyk - Can't Buy Class

  • Quick Unboxing Video Pt 2 - Creative Vado HD Camera Complete Unpackaging (10-24-09)

This is the follow up to my Quick Unboxing Video Pt 1 - DVDs & Vado HD Camera (10-24-09). In this video I unpackage the 8GB Creative Vado HD Video Camera and show all the contents. You will have to excuse the quality of this video, my Nikon Coolpix S9 died that same day - so I had to borrow an unfamiliar camera and had no tripod set up. After this video, I plan to the use the Vado HD for all of my future videos and will have a better setting for seeing my items when unboxing / unpackaging. Please subscribe and check back for the unboxing of my new Nikon Coolpix S710 as well as DVD updates / DVD collection videos.

  • Test video 00001 of my Vado HD 8GB 2nd gen

This is the very first video I am taking with my new Vado HD 8GB 2nd gen, black with maroon accents pocket cam. Recorded in HD+, the highest possible setting. I just got done charging it, as you'll see in the video. I plan on buying different sized tripods and mounts for this video cam. For now, I have a full sized tripod that will be used when recording me and my vlogs. It might be hard for you to hear me, so turn up the volume. Next time, I'll speak louder. It's 11:38 pm, so I didn't want to wake up those inside the house who may be asleep or trying to sleep. More videos to come.

  • Vado HD 8GB (2nd gen) black w/ maroon accents unboxing

this is just a quick unboxing of my VADO HD 8GB (2nd gen) black with maroon accents pocket cam. I had tracking #s for my package through USPS, which stated my package would arrive on 4/4/2011. However, I received it today, 4/2/2011, at around 1:00 pm I was pretty excited about it because I cannot wait to start vlogging riding my '00 Yamaha R1. I'm pretty sure some of you have seen similar unboxing of a Vado HD, so I just tried to keep it short. I just did plug it into my USB port using the included extension. I have 6 total USB ports on my Dell Inspiron E1705 laptop. Four in the back and two on the left side. As I'm typing this, I'm uploading this video. It says 200 min. remaining right now for a 525.63M size video. So, I don't have the fastest systems. Anyway, I may go into further detail about this Vado HD in later videos. I'll be putting some velcro for my helmet mount. You'll probably see a video of that soon.

  • Creative's VADO HD Night Test in NYC Streets

Creative's VADO HD Night Test in NYC Streets. Compilation of videos taken one evening driving on Manhattan streets. Some scenes very shaky due to NYC's notorious 'smooth' streets - watch the road. All scenes stitched together using the included editing software that comes with Vado HD. First upload did not show in YouTube as HD. This time it did. (Edited using included MUVEE software) I liken the Vado HD to a portable webcam in HD. PROS: * Affordable ($199 at the time). * Replaceable 2hr battery. * 2Hrs of HD+ (720P). * 8 GB built-in. * Fairly decent in low light. * Wider angle than others in same category (which also equates to better light sensitivity). * Small, not bulky, fits in shirt, coat or pants pocket. Easy to use, take it anywhere. * Color reproduction is very good. * Contrast is very good. * Built-in USB port * Built-in HDMI * Can upload directly to YouTube, PhotoBucket, or Box.net CONS: * No macro focus. (Anything closer that 18" or so is out of focus.) * Digital zoom is soft. * There is no image stabilization so you need a tripod or steady hand. * Built-in 8GB is fine for 2 hours, but it is not removable or expandable. * Video software that is included (very basic) is adequate but leaves much to be desired.

  • Creative Vado HD Test

i ordered it yesterday on amazon (DE) with express delivery and got it today for 135 euro total. i'm impressed by the picture quality and response time of the cam, it's perfect to carry around, easy to use and the recorded material is already in AVI format - no hazzle with MOV or MP4 conversion. If you're looking for a small, cheap HD cam with decent picture quality: look no further. i compared all kinds of small, low budget HD cams (Kodak Zi6, Mino Flip HD, Sony Webbie and Sony TG7 which isn't low budget) and when it comes to a price:quality ratio, the Vado beats em all. Pro: + Crisp picture and vivid colors + Records motion and not "frames" + Superlightweight + 8GB SSD HD + HDMI out + USB connector + AVI output + Wideangle glass lens + Fast auto-exposure + Tripod socket + Doesn't need drivers + Spare battery is only 15 bucks Con: - No memory slot - USB plug prevents standing - Minor colorchange (can) appear at borders - Small (1-3px) white details can get a purple tint - No pause function during recording - Can't be used as webcam Conclusion: Best bang for the buck - for around 99$-140EUR you can't go wrong.

  • My Front Step with my Creative Vado HD

Yep, real life video from me! I finally got my video camera, it actually came quite fast, after I paid for it (payment processed last Friday, and it arrived this afternoon, so only about 3 business days or so?) This is just me being a bit random, testing it's outdoor video capturing qualities. As you can see, it is quite blurry when moving (I think it captures @ 30FPS), but considering it is a device that records @ 720p (albeit, not 'true' HD, since the video quality isn't quite up to snuff) available for around $200, it is a good deal. I like the fact it is proper HD widescreen ratio too (1280x720 - 16:9 ratio). 8GB of memory means at the highest quality (HD+), it records a bit over 2 hours (2:11:XX), a lower setting is just regular HD, and is 4 hours, I think, there is also an 8 hour (or maybe it was 6 hour? Not sure, will edit if I remember to check) SD recording option. Not sure how well it will perform in extended captures, it isn't really meant for that. I wouldn't be too surprised if the audio started getting a bit off sync, but I dunno. Also, like the reviews say, it isn't the best in low light conditions. I might post a video soon, a short snippet of my cat (YES, I am actually going to do the cliche 'post my pet' thing) XD You must agree, that aside from kittens, he is the cutest cat ^_~ So yeah, this is me acting like a guy who never leaves the house, which is admittedly, somewhat true. I only go out to go to work, or buy a game/movie/tech or something. I ...
