Just to show you people that it's pretty good... I am enjoying it, very good quality on our 50'' HD Tv. Any questions ill try and answer them... 60GB Hard Disk Drive, Laser Touch Operation, One Touch Export, Sharing Station, Face Detection, 24mbps Rec. 1920x1080. Very good.

JVC Everio gz-hd300 moon zoom
This is a test of the JVC Everio gz-hd300 zoom capability. I am zoomed about 50x (20x optical and 30x digital) in this clip with a manual focus setting and manual brightness. The color is reddish because it was a low altitude on the horizon. The Everio Media Browser software it came with will not upload in this quality and is sorely lacking in HD upload to youtube quality options. I uploaded the raw .mts file to youtube doing the manual upload instead of the youtube upload features this cam highlights. The Everio software mangles the resolution if you go through the software and cam. I would love to film a night sky meteor shower/stars in manual mode so if any of you have had success, please let me know or post a video response.

Taking a break from the usual sillyness i'm known for to do a youtube video that compares my two camcorders, The JVC Everio GZ-HD300 and my Sony HDR-CX500v. The testing is of Low Light, which most hi-def cameras suffer from. Both cameras looked great outside, but one definitely secured sharpness from within. The instramental is inspired by youtube username VPROJECTSNO1FAN83. You want happy/rugrats type beats? YA GOT IT, CHICK!!!

JVC Everio GZ-HD300 Mantis eating closeup
This is a test shot with my new camcorder showing a closeup of a mantis eating a beetle. The auto focus goes in and out but that's before I discovered the manual zoom/focus feature and a tripod. The Everio software that came with this cam sucks but thankfully, youtube will allow a direct upload of the .MTS files directly from the camera and converts it from there.
