Some indoor demo recordings with Sanyo Xacti VPC-FH 1 EX in Full HD Mode (1920x1080x30p). All recordings were done with a tripod. Quality is very nice, autofocus sometimes a bit slow.

Sanyo Xacti VPC-FH1 - 240 fps Test shots
I got my new camera and decided to test out the 240 frames per second feature. I filmed a fountain and some humming birds while on a trip. Just a test shot on how it looks, it only allows you to record up to 10 seconds at a time however so I compiled these shots into one clip. I will try to do a review of this camera later and show its features and such. enjoy!

UPDATE! AS OF NOW I CAN'T RECOMMEND THIS CAMCORDER ANYMORE! I TOOK IT TO THE BEACH AND IT FRIED ON ME THERE EVEN THOUGH THE MANUAL STATES YOU CAN USE IT IN THE BEACH. I HAD EVERY PORT LOCKED YET SAND GOT IN WITH WATER! SO MAYBE ONLY USE IT IN THE POOL OR CLEAN WATER! Allen unboxes the Sanyo VPC-WH1 Camcorder. Part 1. I have many MANY camcorders, but i don't want to bring my pro or expensive camcorders to school or to places where my camcorders (like the one I filmed this video with: Sony HDR-HC9 HDV cam) and i don't want to carry around a clunky waterproof case....at least not for now. So i wanted something small, not too expensive, good features, HD quality and waterproof. Not until recently, all we had available were Standard Defintion Panasonic waterproof models like the SDR-SW20, and Sanyo's E1 waterproof camcorders. But now this year, Sanyo introduced many camcorders, and the one that caught my eye that matched my 'want' list was the VPC-WH1. It's extremely compact, comfortable, has good 720p HD video (that's better than the Kodak Zi6 and even the Webbie PM1) has good control, and of course: is waterproof. I got it in the yellow version, which looks cooler. The WH1 is waterproof down to 10 feet/3meters! And it's 720p video is very good in bright light! And it has a crazy 30x optical zoom (although I'll probably only ever use it up to 10x). And it has a removable CRAZY STRONG but TINY 3 hour battery pack! I got two! It's SDHC card compatible up to 32GB! It has a flash <b>...</b>

HD Waterproof Sanyo Xacti VPC-WH1 1st test in pool. I recommend the camcorder but any zoom requires a tripod or a very steady hand. I converted these from mp4 to .flv format with total video converter, which loses some quality. Sanyo could have done better.

Sanyo Xacti VPC WH1 and Opteka 0.3X Ultra Fisheye 37mm Lens
This is my first (and maybe my last) attempt to modify a Sanyo Xacti VPC WH1 Dual-Cam Waterproof camera to glue an adaptor ring so that you can attach a lens like the Opteka 0.3X Ultra Fisheye 37mm Lens. It turns out to be worth the effort. Important points on this project; - make sure that you cover the whole glass of the WH1 with masking tape before applying the glue. - make sure that excess Araldite is removed before it hardens. - remove all the masking tape especially on the edges during rinsing and make sure you dont scratch the glass. I'll be using this when I go paddling in Cagayan de Oro Philippines in Feb 2011.
