    Just got my new Canon 100-400mm Lens in the post this morning, so i thought i would record the unboxing to show you guys what the lens looks like! Initial thoughts are that it is very large! My previous lens was the Canon 70-200mm f/4 and this lens is huge compared to that, it also weighs quite a lot. However build quality is good and it feels like a quality lens. The camera in the video is a 40d, filmed on a 7d.. didnt bother with the settings just whacked it on record and compressed it for faster upload but it gets the job done! Enjoy

    Was looking for pictures of different focal lengths shot with the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM. I did not find any, but I still bought the lens. So here are my first test shots from my new lens. You can see shots at 100, 200, 300, 400 and 100% crop of 400 mm. Pictures far away and as close as 2 meters (almost like macro at 400 mm). Pictures are taken with Canon 550D

Hier geht es um das Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 L IS USM: Was bringt Canons neues Tele der L Klasse für das Filmen? Anhand von Beispielen zeigt Stefan Czech hier wie sich das "neue Weiße" schlägt. Es ist Zeit für einen neuen Filmpraxis Podcast mit einer neu Vorstellung. Das Canon EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 L IS ist seit ca. einem halben Jahr auf dem Markt und in dem Podcast wird die Verwendung diese Objektives für das Filmen mit der DSLR beleuchtet. Anders als die vorherigen Filmpraxis Podcasts wurde dieser komplett mit zwei Canon EOS 5D MarkII gedreht. Auf der einen Kamera war genau diese Objektiv im Einsatz. Besonders sticht der Bildstabilisator des 70-300er hervor. Dieser arbeitet so gut, dass er 4 Blenden Stufen kompensieren kann und unterstütz somit besonders das Filmen aus der Hand und von der Schulter. First time recording, and can't say the live system is easy so use, but I'm really impress with sound quality and smooth frame rate. Lot of quality lost during resizing and recoding tough. Vídeo gravado com uma 5D Mark II + 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 USM L IS durante o campeonato Nacional de Resistência. Primeira tentativa em vídeo, e não posso dizer que o sistema de gravação com live view seja fácil de utilizar, mas fiquei impressionado com a qualidade de som eo frame rate muito estável. Perdeu muita qualidade de imagem com o redimensionamento ea recodificação.
