Canon EF 28mm f/2.8 Prime Lens Review - On My Canon EOS 350d / Digital Rebel XT
www.robnunnphoto.com Another lens I bought from eBay a few months ago. The Canon EF 28mm f is a prime lens, which means there's no zoom, but it offers great image quality and a pretty fast (wide) aperture for a bargain price. Offering about the equivalent of a 45mm lens on a crop sensor dSLR like my 350d / Rebel XT, it's great for landscapes or portraits where you need that extra angle of view. Watch out for some barrel distortion at the edges, but overall I love this lens, and it's the one that I always leave on my camera. Cheers, Rob

The build of this lens is quite impressive, as it includes a distance scale, a safety focal ring, and is made of denser materials than those used on EF-S lenses. I highly recommend this to photographers and cinematographers who are looking for a light, durable, large-aperture-containing prime lens for their Canon DSLR.

ANDERSON!!!!!!!!!!!!! .......... This lens does not have IS. It is SHARP! But i had a Cokin Filter kit along with a polarizer....so it kinda degraded the image quality. My filter was already scratched up. so there's the reason for unsharpness. It is tough to manually focus. So opted to auto focus in several clips. (Gave it a nice touch if i do say so myself!) Well, ENJOY! Let me know what you think! :) Done with my REBEL T1i. at 1280x720p. i dont have the ability to record at 30fps at 1080p sadly. :/
