  • PocketWizard Flex TT5 and Mini TT1 wireless controllers for Nikon shown with D7000 DSLR

Quick look at the PocketWizard Flex TT5 and Mini TT1 Nikon Version demonstrated here on the D7000. I was kinda bummed when they came out with the Canon and not a Nikon version. Now that it is offered for Nikon and finally back in stock, I had to get my hands on a couple of these. The prospect of being able to synch at speeds higher than the camera's 1/250 the of a sec wirelessly with TTL capabilities defintely caught my eye. Being able to tame the daylight with portable strobes synching at 1/8000 really opens up a lot of lighting opportunites, although bear in mind that to use that high shutter speed beyond your camer's normal X-synch speed requires all the power from your flash and the distance to your flash and subject is greatly reduced to achieve this.
